Dr. Patel, a New Jersey native, has spent most of his time in North Carolina, which he calls home. He completed his medical schooling at Saba University and internal medicine residency training at East Carolina School of Medicine.
He served as both academic and medical faculty before relocating to Chapel Hill. There, he completed his training with a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. He is board certified in both internal medicine and endocrinology.
