Dr. Patel, a New Jersey native, has spent most of his time in North Carolina, which he calls home. He completed his medical schooling at Saba University and internal medicine residency training at East Carolina School of Medicine. He served as both academic and medical faculty before relocating to Chapel Hill. There, he completed his training with a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. He is board certified in both internal medicine and endocrinology.

She has been with our clinic for over 10 years.

Becca Scarlett earned her first undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from NC A&T State University, then went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing from Simmons University in Boston. She is board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), authorized by both the NC Board of Nursing and NC Medical Board. In her free time, Becca loves meditation, yoga, traveling, and reading research articles!
